Inspirational Stories in Neuroscience – Our Podcast "Neurovoyagers"

We’re excited to announce the release of the third episode of our Neurovoyagers Podcast, where we explore the inspiring journeys and groundbreaking research of neuroscientists from around the world.

In the latest episode, our public outreach officer Julia Schlee talks with Teresa Puthussery, Assistant Professor of Optometry & Vision Science and an internationally renowned expert in retinal neurobiology. Teresa shares her inspiring path from rural Australia to her current role as a leading scientist, as well as fascinating insights into her work on the retina and potential therapies for vision impairment.

Looking back at previous episodes, we’ve had the pleasure of hearing very different, yet equally inspiring, stories. In Episode 1, Georg Keller, Senior Group Leader at Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, shared how his love for physics eventually led him to neuroscience, where he now investigates the foundations of perception and behavior. In Episode 2, Claire Wyart, Group leader at the Paris Brain Institute, wowed us with her dynamic storytelling, revealing the power of creativity and unconventional thinking in research.

Our podcast aims to bring you closer to the people behind the science – their challenges, achievements, and visions for the future.

We invite you to explore the episode and share it with colleagues and friends. Stay tuned – there’s much more to come!
